Washington DC: In April 2012 and again in 2014, I traveled to Washington DC to attend the three-day National Science and Engineering Festival. I represented the Society for the Study of Evolution (SSE) along with Dr. Mike Antolin, Dr. Tom Meagher, Dr. Rob Pennock and Molly Womack. The goal of the SSE booth was to illustrate the relevance of evolution in our daily lives. We spoke to the public about the evolution of influenza and why understanding evolution helps us address human diseases such as the flu virus. *Pictures 2012* *Pictures 2014*
Boulder, CO: In July 2013, I helped Chelsea Blake share information about guppies and food-webs at a public outreach day organized by Emilie Snell-Rood in conjunction with the Animal Behavior Society Meeting.
